The picturesque Sunshine Villa came into operation in early 2024, catering to travelers seeking tranquil and secluded retreat. Surrounded by verdant greenery, sprawling tea gardens and magnificent landscapes that Ilam is best known for, the Villa is tucked away from the main road, yet close enough to reach within minutes of driving from the main town of Fikkal. The Villa offers elegant, spacious and sunny rooms with attached bathrooms.

At Sunshine Villa, we believe in a fusion of comfort and sustainable practices, keeping the delicate environment of Ilam in mind. Two of the structures in the villa are built with rammed earth, a construction technique that comprises of compact natural materials. The food served by our expert kitchen staff utilizes locally grown produce. Interiors are designed by architects and artisans from Bhaktapur, adding charming nostalgic mementos to the rooms, while moody lights creates a great ambience in the dark.

True to our commitment to environment, two of our buildings are constructed by Sustainable Future Nepal using rammed earth technique, ie a mix of naturally and locally sourced materials like soil and gravel. Besides being sustainable, durable and energy efficient, rammed earth has earthy aesthetics and incorporates time-tested construction methods into contemporary practices.
